Our client in Canberra seeks the services of a Civil Maritime Safety Training Officer for DSS L3 position, requiring NV1 clearance.

Responsibilities
Evaluating the knowledge and skills of marine personnel through methods, such as practical assessments, observation and assurance processes.
Create and update training materials, including lesson plans, workshops, presentations, and online resources, to ensure they are current and relevant.
Offer guidance and technical support on civil maritime safety matters.
Keep accurate records of training program delivery, assessments, and other relevant information.
Assist with the investigation of safety incidents and near misses, and audit and assurance activities in the ABF Fleet as required.
Effectively communicate safety information to stakeholders, including staff, senior management, ABF marine crew and external parties.
A degree or diploma in a related field, such as maritime studies, WHS or training and assessment.
Experience in developing, delivering, and assessing training programs, particularly in a maritime context.
In-depth knowledge of marine safety regulations and industry standards.
Project and risk management skills
Strong communication skills
Strong computer and administration skills, including attention to detail
Experience with Comcare engagement is desirable

SFIA - Learning and Development Management (ETMG), Level 5
