Position:                     Programme Officer (Job : 1659461)
Contract period:          12 month (Tentative August 2026 - August 2027)
Working Location:        Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon or as instructed otherwise.
Working hours:     
(a)  8.5 hours per service call
(b) Mainly 09:00 - 17:30, but 14:30 - 23:00 required in scheduled duty
(c) Monday to Sunday, including Public Holidays
 
Job Duties:

1. To engage in research on the local and overseas music scene to support the office's programme planning for reaching out the community and audience;
2. To develop creative contents and marketing strategies for social media/digital platforms for the offices
3. To prepare and distribute publicity materials for each presentation including supervising the design and production of poster, house programme, handout, display, notice and to liaise with other departments/organisations in respect of promotion and publicity of such presentations;
4. To arrange the necessary hotel accommodation and transportation for overseas artists/ groups, technical/stage services and liaising with venues to facilitate the smooth operation of cultural presentations and to assess the standard and merit of the performance;
5. To draft contract, draft ticket prices, set up seating configuration and prepare seating plans for cultural presentations;
6. To assist the Manager in liaising and negotiating with local and overseas artists/agents on terms of engagement, arrangement of performance date and venue and keeping track of concurrent activities of the same nature; and
7. To perform any other duties assigned by senior officers.

*Note: During the Chinese Culture Festival period (tentatively from January to September), the post-holder may be redeployed to other teams within the Culture Presentations Section to assist with festival logistics and operations. Such duties may include, but are not limited to, venue coordination, guest reception and hospitality arrangements, event management and on-site supervision, liaison with contractors and technical support coordination, inventory management of festival materials, crowd management and audience services, as well as other festival-related duties as assigned by senior officers.
 
Requirements: 

1. Be a permanent resident of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and lawfully employable in Hong Kong;
2. Be a Holder of Bachelor's degree or equivalent (majoring in Marketing / Advertising / Communication / Cultural Studies may have an advantage);
3. Have good command of written and spoken Chinese and English (have met the language proficiency requirements of 'Level 5' or above in Chinese Language and English Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary 'Education Examination (HKDSEE); or Grade 'C' or above in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature and Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE), or equivalent),
4. With three (3) or more years' full-time post-qualification working experience in the field of event management / performing arts organisations /public relations / marketing is preferred; and .
5. Be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing.
