Position: Contract Clerk (Job : 1644896)
Contract period: 9 months, tentative starting from late July or early August 2026
Working Location: North Point, Hong Kong or such other offices/places due to operational needs
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 44 hours per week (including lunch hour/meal break), the actual daily working hours may be adjusted subject to the operational needs
Job Duties:
- To support on matters related to building management and office maintenance of the section;
- To support in overseeing the record management, including opening of records, updating record lists, disposals, review classification methods and documents as well as keeping records of files in electronic record system;
- To provide clerical and logistic for teacher professional programmes/events online courses and various projects/events for primary and secondary teachers;
- To provide clerical and logistic support for meetings, including preparing meeting materials and venue setting;
- To provide clerical, procurement and logistic support in production of education resource materials, publicity resources;
- To handle enquiries and take up liaison work related to various projects/events in primary and secondary education;
- To monitor office administration such as handling incoming correspondences and general public enquiries, records management, procurement and inventory checking of IT equipment, furniture, publications/books of the Section; and
- To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.
Requirements:
- (a) (i) Level 2 or equivalent [Note (1)] or above in five subjects including Mathematics in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) [Note (2)], or equivalent; or (ii) Level 2 [Note (3)] / Grade E or above in five subjects including Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) [Note (2)], or equivalent; (b) met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 [Note (3)] or above in Chinese Language and English Language in HKDSEE or HKCEE, or equivalent; and (c) Chinese word processing speed of twenty (20) words per minute and English word processing speed of thirty (30) words per minute, and knowledge in the application of common business software. Notes:
- For general awareness, "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects) in the HKDSEE is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE. Additionally, Grade E in Other Languages subjects in the 2024 HKDSEE or before is accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in HKDSEE. A2 or above in French / German / Spanish; or N3 or above in Japanese; or TOPIK II Grade 3 or above in Korean in the Other Languages subjects in the 2025 HKDSEE and onwards are accepted as equivalent to Level 2/Level 3 in the New Senior Secondary subjects in the HKDSEE.
- The subjects may include Chinese Language and English Language.
- For general awareness, 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 2' in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
