Position: Facilities Management Officer

Contract period: 12 month (13 July 2026 to 12 Jul 2027)
Working Location: Hong Kong 
Salary: HK$ 27,090.00 per month
Working hours: 44 hours per week (including meal break of one hour per day)

Job Duties:

1. Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of various new and ongoing building projects, enhancement, and improvement projects; liaise with the Architectural Services Department, the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, and various contractors.
2. Assist in coordinating and monitoring the maintenance and upkeep of all facilities, equipment, installations, and fixtures in the Hong Kong Central Library (HKCL).
3. Liaise with the Fire Services Department and relevant contractors regarding any irregularities in fire service installations during project implementation.
4. Rotate with other Assistant Managers to act as duty manager during the opening hours of HKCL and its hiring facilities; assist in and monitor the implementation of house rules related to HKCL operations.
5. Assist in handling public enquiries and complaints related to building and house management; supervise the work of supporting staff within the Building Management Unit.
6. Prepare returns, collate statistics, and perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree from a local university or equivalent.
• A minimum of one (1) year of full-time working experience in building, facilities, or estate management. Experience in government buildings and/or venue operations/projects management is highly preferred.
• Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKDSE or HKCEE, or equivalent. (Note: "Grade E" in Chinese & English (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE is accepted as comparable to "Level 2").
• Fluent in both spoken and written English and Cantonese.
• Conversant in standard computer software.
• Willing to apply for a Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (‘Green Card”) upon request by the Government Representative and when necessary.
