Salary: HK$ 69,575.00 per month
Working hours: 09:00am to 6:00pm (including meal break from 12:00 to 13:00) Mondays to Fridays
Job Duties:
(i) providing professional advice on the use of Chinese Language and English
Language in all publicity materials and correspondences;
(ii) writing Chinese and English speeches, articles, apothegms, press releases,
reports, line to take, Q&A, correspondences, promotional publications and
publicity activities required materials;
(iii) fostering communication with parties in Mainland China;
(iv) editing news, publicity and advertising related materials, online articles and
posts in Chinese and English, and providing translation from Chinese to
English or vice versa;
(v) assisting in the editorial work for the departmental publication; and
(vi) drafting of interview questions, conducting interviews with internal and
external parties and drafting the text, articles, headlines and captions.
Requirements:
The OLW shall have achieved Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong
Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent.
The OLW shall also have achieved Level 5 or above in English Language of the Hong
Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent.
Grade C in Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature of the
Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) is accepted as equivalent to Level 5
in Chinese Language in HKDSEE. Grade C in Use of English of the HKALE or English
Language of the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) is accepted as
equivalent to Level 5 or above in English Language in HKDSEE.
An overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same
sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System
("IELTS") within the two-year validity period of the test result is accepted as equivalent
to Level 5 or above in English Language in HKDSEE.
The OLW shall possess an accredited Bachelor's degree of university or above
preferably in communication, marketing, public relations, media, journalism, advertising,
languages, translation, social science, or other equivalent fields, and have at least eight
(8) years of relevant experience in news/information programme, journalism, corporate
communications and publishing.
Preference will be given to applicants with work experience in (i) the Government or public sector.
