Position: Contract Designer

Service Hour: normally 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 0900 to 1800
Salary:  HK$26,500 per month
 
Qualification Requirement:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Design or related subjects, preferably in Visual Communication, 3D Exhibition/ Environmental Design, Digital Visualization Design, Digital Communication Design, Advertising Design, Product Design and Multi-media Design with at least 6 years' relevant working experience in professional design is required, including 4 consecutive years as a full-time designer worked in design house/exhibition or event companies/museum or related field during the past 5 years prior to the quotation closing date, freelance work will not be considered as working experiences

OR
Higher Diploma in Design or related subjects, preferably in Visual Communication, 3D Exhibition/ Environmental Design, Digital Visualization Design, Digital Communication Design, Advertising Design, Product Design and Multi-media Design with at least 8 years' relevant working experience as a full-time designer worked in design house/exhibition or event companies/museum, including 4 consecutive years as a full-time designer worked in design house/exhibition or event companies/museum or related field during the past 5 years prior to the quotation closing date, freelance work will not be considered as working experiences, freelance work will not be considered as working experiences;

• At least 3 years working experience in museum and exhibition design is required;
• Knowledge of publishing techniques and understanding of print and production process will be an advantage;
• Proficient in latest 2D design applications (including Adobe Illustrator CC, Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Indesign CC and Acrobat), and latest multimedia design applications (including 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D, Blender, Unity, Unreal Engine, After effect and V-ray) are required;
• Experienced in 3D design software such as Sketchup, AutoCAD and proficient in 3D visual rendering production, preparing technical drawing and presentation for exhibition display are much preferred;
• Have good graphic & visual simulation skills; keen on typographic and layout design; strong visual sense and ability to create visual elements, motion graphic production and developing great creative designs, well craftsmanship and digital skills to present and deliver the pitch are required;
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese in order to liaise with suppliers and fabricators;
• Good team player with analytical mind, creative, self-motivated and good interpersonal communication skill and organizational skills, work independent and able to meet the tight schedules / deadlines; and
• Immediate availability preferred

 
Duties

• To support the Exhibition Design Team and to assist in finalizing exhibition for the Museum according to schematic designs prepared by supervisors.
• To assist in producing conceptual design drawings, 3D rendering and technical drawings of any assigned projects.
• To prepare visual contents and presentation method for multi-media or interactive and exhibition display.
• To assist in the mounting of exhibitions and display of exhibits, coordinate installation and liaise with the fabricators and suppliers.
• To assist in the creation and finalization of designs and to produce artworks related to publications and advertisements for the Museum according to the schematic designs prepared by supervisors.
• To design graphic and visual support for audio-visual production of the exhibition display.
• To follow up the project schedule independently and liaise with contractors/ printers with regard to quotations, specifications, quality control and delivery of exhibition fabrication/ printing matters.
• To perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.
