to act as the officer in the planning, implementation and supervision of various renovation / improvement projects related to the building management of the Venues;
to assist in the implementation and supervision of the Tai Po Civic Centre Upgrading Project;
to attend site walks at the construction site of the Tai Po Civic Centre during inspection and handover period, to do measurement, to check and report defects and to follow up the improvement works with working agents to facilitate the operational need;
to assist in preparing the reopening of the Tai Po Civic Centre;
to enforce house rules and regulations as well as handle enquiries, requests and complaints on building management matters;
to manage and supervise the contract of plumbing services at the venues;
to assist in the compilation of relevant statistical data;
to act as duty manager in the Venues and ensure smooth running of all functions held in the venues;
to attend emergency and ad-hoc duties;
to work in the venues, including but not limited to Tai Po Civic Centre, Sha Tin Town Hall and North District Town Hall, as and when required; and
to perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.
Requirements:
a permanent resident of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and be lawfully employable in Hong Kong;
holder(s) of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline, preferably Arts Administration;
have at least two (2) years of post-qualification full-time working experience, of which having at least one (1) year of post-qualification full-time working experience in the field of performing arts/ arts administration, venue management, programme management, facilities management in performing arts venues, cultural programme offices, museums or international conference and exhibition centres in Hong Kong. Relevant experience in building and contract management for premises is preferred;
possess a valid Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate (Green Card). Candidate expecting to obtain the Green Card within two to three months after service commencement may be considered. Consideration for acceptance will be subject to the discretion of the Government Representative;
have good understanding on building management of the performing art venues;
good communication and interpersonal skills, and mature in personality;
good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
physically fit to perform indoor and outdoor patrol and inspection duties at the Venues; and
proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word processing.
