Position: Assistant Recycling Manager
Client: Environmental Protection Department

Contract Period: 9 months
Working Location: 5/F, Centre Parc, 11 Sheung Yuet Road, Kowloon Bay, Kowloon
Salary: HK$34,000.00 per month
Working Hours:
45 hours gross per week, normally from 8:30am to 5:30pm (including one-hour lunch break)
from Monday to Friday, except public holidays
(Service may be required on Sundays and Public Holidays subject to operational needs.)

Job Requirement:
 

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant science or engineering subject (e.g., environmental science, waste management, civil/chemical engineering) or equivalent.
• Met the language proficiency requirement of Level 3 (see Note) or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or equivalent [Note: “Grade C” in Chinese Language and English
• Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 3” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth]; OR met the language proficiency requirements of ‘Level 2’ results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the CRE, or equivalent;
• Good English and Chinese writing skills, fluency in spoken English and Cantonese and proficiency in Putonghua;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; and
• Good data analysis, project coordination and presentation skills.

• To assist in managing the contract and monitoring the operation of the Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations;
• To vet reports submitted by Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations;
• To conduct site inspections to the Recycling Stores and Recycling Stations, and their related events/activities for compliance check;
• To handle public enquiries and complaints concerning GREEN@COMMUNITY and prepare statistical analysis;
• To assist in reviewing and updating papers, information notes, guidelines, presentation decks and other necessary materials in relation to the community recycling network;
• To manage associated service contracts to support the operation of GREEN@COMMUNITY’s facilities.
• To handle and compile data for analysis and provide other technical support;
• To perform any other duties assigned as appropriate.
