Position:                         Clerical Assistant

Working Location: Mong Kok Music Centre at the 10th & 11th Floors, Mong Kok Government Offices, Kowloon
Salary:                    HK$808.00 per Service Call
Working hours:      8 hours (1 hour meal break included)

1. can be between 06:30 to 23:59,
2. normally between 10:30 to 18:30 on Saturday and Sunday or

• 12:30 to 20:30 on Monday to Friday. Service calls.

1. Minimum unit of non-regular service call shall be on half-hourly basis (0.5 hour).

Job Duties:

• To check and input attendance records into the computerized system, issue warning letters to absentees, and issue standard letters for late payments & correspondence to trainees;
• To assist in collection of tuition fees and rental charges for hire/loan instruments from trainees. To issue music instruments to new trainees, to recover them from withdrawn trainees and keep up-to-date records of the Instrumental Hire/Loan Scheme;
• To man office/enquiry counter and answer public enquiries; to open and lock up office and practice rooms when musical activities and training classes are taking place; and to supervise the performance of cleaning contractor;
• To assist in recruitment of trainee, especially in administrating the online application system, providing support during admission tests, resignation for new trainees as well as inputting trainees' information into the computerized system;
• To be on duty in irregular hours in weekdays/weekends/public holidays for transporting musical instruments in and out during various concerts and other activities organized by the Music Office;
• To perform general filing work, updating circulars and regulations and receive services; to be responsible for purchasing stamps and postage of letters and pamphlets.
• To carry out any other duties assigned by senior officers.

 
Requirements:

• A permanent resident of Hong Kong and lawfully employable in Hong Kong; Secondary 5-6 standard with Level 2/Grade E or above in both English and Chinses language in the HKDSE/HKCEE or equivalent or above;
• Good knowledge in computer software including MS word, MS Excel & Chinese Word Processing;
• Typing speed with 25wpm and Chinese Word Processing at 15 characters per minute;
• Speak fluent Cantonese and simple English;
• Over 3 years clerical working experience in music industry or customer service field or public sector preferred;
• Be responsible, polite and mature, with good communication & interpersonal skills.
