Main Job Responsibility :

1. To assist in updating and enriching the survey records on pre-1950 and post-1950 buildings in Hong Kong by conducting research and fieldwork;
2. To assist in conducting desktop research, including collecting, verifying and compiling historical information on the pre-1950 and post-1950 buildings. Research at libraries as well as government and institutional achieves for literature reviews, building plans, old maps and photos and other related documents is required.
3. To assist in conducting fieldwork on the pre-1950 and post-1950 buildings, including conducting sit visit, photographic recording and oral history interview; and
4. To perform any other duties as assigned by Government Representatives

1. A degree from a Hong Kong university, or equivalent, majoring in one of the following subjects: Anthropology, Archaeology, Architectural Conservation, Ethnography, Geography, History, Humanities, Museum Studies, Heritage Conservation Studies or equivalent;
2. Working experience relating to museum or built heritage conservation is preferable;
3. Level 2 (both English Language and Chinese Language) in the HKDSEE, or Grade D (both Use of English and Chinese Language and Culture or Chinese Language and Literature) in the HKALE, or Grade C (English Language) in the GCE A Level, or Level 2 (both Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the CRE, or equivalent;
4. Good computer knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese and English word processing skills; and
5. Proficiency in both Chinese and English
