Contract period: 16 Nov 2024 to April 2025 (5 months)
Working Location: Oil Street Art Space, 12 Oil Street, North Point, Hong Kong
Salary: HK$103.00 per man-hour
Working hours: (i) Mondays, except Public Holidays 6.5 hours. from 13:45 to 20:15 (meal break should not be included)
(ii) Tuesdays to Sundays and Public Holidays 10.5 hours. from 09:45 to 20:15 (including one-hour payable meal break)

Job Duties:
The Contractor should deploy staff to station at Oi! (12 Oil Street, North Point, Hong Kong) or other venue required to provide the following services:
(a) Ensure the safety of the exhibits;
(b) Assist in daily operation of the display devices;
(c) Refill and distribute publicity materials;
(d) Receive guests and crowd control;
(e) Introduce the exhibition to and answer enquiries from the public in Cantonese. English or Mandarin;
(f) Conduct / assist in the guided tours and educational programmes in the venue:
(g) Assist in education activities preparation work and cleaning up after the activities; (h) Inspect artwork and equipment conditions, annotating concerns and maintenance issues. minor repairing of exhibits:
(i) Counting attendance;
(j) Conduct visitors survey.,
(k) Work with customer services staff, security guards and cleaning staff to maintain nice and tidy display environment; and
(1) Perform any other duties as may be required.
Requirements:
(a) Graduates or students of Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, Fine Arts, of deployed Cultural Management, Design, Architecture, Hospitality or other relevant staff subjects; priority will be accorded to graduates or students of Bachelor's degree is Visual Arts, Fine Arts and Cultural Management;
(b) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese and with both subjects obtained grade E/ level 2 or above in HKCFFJHKDSE or its equivalent;
(c) Familiar with operation of digital devices. computers. tablets etc.. is preferred;
(d) Mature, able to work under pressure and independently;
(e) Pleasant, outgoing and with good communication skills and willing to work with others;
(f) With experience of working as docent/ helper/ ambassador in museums, or art fairs, or art projects is an advantage.
Dress code
(a) Smart causal in earth tone. e.g. white polo shirt and light colours long trousers. Wearing working pass at all times during service hours. The ambassadors should use the working gear provided by APO if such provision is available.
(b) Unless prior approval from the staff of APO, ambassadors are NOT allowed to carry clumsy personal items like iPad, Notebook computers and novels at work, personal belongings should be stored in designated place and or carry in a tote bag provided by the office.
Training of All ambassadors:
Must attend the training sessions for the projects and activities Staff which may be held at different. periods. The training sessions will be counted as service hours based on the rate quoted in Item 1 (Annex C) by pro-rata basis if applicable.
