To roll out and monitor trial programmes to promote wider adoption

Job Duties:
To roll out and monitor trial programmes to promote wider adoption of the recycled/upcycled products from EPD’s organic waste recycling facilities, including mainly the biochar, PARK1’s compost, Y.PARK’s mulch and sawdust as well as other EcoPark products etc.;
To recruit local farms, companies and organizations, as well as government departments and bureaux, academic and professional institutions to take part in the trial use of the recycled/upcycled products mentioned in (i) above.
To provide guidance and render technical assistance to facilitate wider beneficial use of biochar, compost and related recycled/upcycled products in horticulture, landscaping, greening, gardening, soil amendment and other applications by the stakeholders mentioned in (ii) above.;
To plan, organize promotional activities and conduct training and experience sharing workshops/sessions/visits with a view to raise awareness and enhance knowledge of the sectors on the merits and best practice of using the aforesaid recycled/upcycled products.;
To assist in handling related public and media enquiries, conduct data analysis, and prepare and update papers, information notes, publications, guidelines, presentation decks and other necessary materials in relation to the above duties;
To promote sustainability and circular economy principles through community engagement at EcoPark; and
To undertake other duties as assigned by the EPD.
Requirements:
Possesses a bachelor and/or master degree in a relevant science or engineering subject (Arboriculture / Horticulture/ Environmental / Civil / Mechanical etc.) in a recognized university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
Possesses a professional qualification in arboriculture and horticulture, including Certified Arborist of the International Society of Arboriculture; or Technician Member, Professional Member or Fellow Member of the Arboricultural Association of the United Kingdom; or European Tree Technician of the European Arboricultural Council; or General Member of the National Arborists Association of Australia (issued on or before 31 Dec 2010) or equivalent qualifications;
At least five (5) years of relevant full-time working experience in horticulture, landscaping, greening management /applications;
At least two (2) years of relevant working experience in providing training in horticulture, landscaping, greening and other environmental fields;
Excellent command in verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese; and
