We're looking for an experienced Coldstore Manager to take ownership of cold-store operations for a leading food manufacturer in Gisborne.

What will you be responsible for?

• Leading the day-to-day operation of the coldstore, ensuring product is stored, handled and dispatched efficiently.
• Managing inventory accuracy, stock movements and product traceability.
• Coordinating logistics, transport and dispatch to keep product moving on time.
• Leading and supporting a day team of approximately 10 staff, with responsibility for an additional team of around 10 during peak-season night operations.
• Working closely with transport providers, MPI and internal teams to maintain compliance and operational standards.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, productivity, safety and service.
• Creating a positive, accountable team culture where people understand what's expected and are supported to succeed.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Experience in coldstore, warehousing, logistics, dispatch or a similar operational environment.
• Proven experience leading a team and keeping people focused in a busy workplace.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• An understanding of inventory control, product traceability and transport coordination.
• A commitment to health and safety, quality and compliance.
• Clear communication, sound decision-making and a proactive, solutions-focused attitude.

Experience in food manufacturing and working with MPI requirements would be a definite advantage.
