Currently we have an opportunity available for a multi skilled Fabrication and Workshop Technician to join our Christchurch team.
This is a varied role which will see you being the "go to" resource for all light fabrication work as well as playing an important role supporting our Technicians in the repair and maintenance to fuel pumps, fuel delivery systems, company oil tankers and a range of other mechanical equipment.
This position may suit someone from a heavy automotive or engineering background, who can turn their hand to a variety of tasks, and enjoys problem solving. Ideally we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
- Pneumatic experience.
- Hydraulic experience
- Welding experience
- Light fabrication work
- Able to work unsupervised and plan your day to meet deadlines
- Automotive electrical understanding
- Customer service skills
- Eye for detail
- Preferably some computer skills including the ability to input data into a spreadsheet
- Fuel industry knowledge would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
While this is a workshop based position, there may be a requirement to work on customer sites from time to time.
