The opportunity

Lake Mountain Alpine Resort is seeking a dedicated and experienced Resort Winter Operations Supervisor, who has either a background in operations and leadership, or is construction minded, to ensure safety & compliance of plant & equipment. This role will support the development & implementation of operating procedures & safety protocols, maintain accurate records in asset management systems. Overall this role is an integral part in promoting a culture of safety, inclusion & continuous improvement.
The Assets & Operations team at ARV is integral to the streamlined and efficient operation of our alpine resorts. This group provides essential support functions including asset management, maintenance, and operational delivery, ensuring that each resort operates smoothly and effectively. The team works collaboratively to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with ARVʼs strategic objectives, supporting sustainable development and the long-term resilience of resort assets.
The Resort Winter Operations Supervisor will report to the General Manager.

- Lead daily operations of the Resort Operations and Maintenance team, ensuring safe and compliant use of plant and equipment in accordance with ARV policies and legislative requirements
- Supervise and coordinate recurrent works including seasonal snow operations, building and machinery maintenance, carparking, waste management and public space upkeep
- Supervise and co-ordinate critical utility operations including water, wastewater and power systems.
- Support the development & implementation of operating procedures, safety protocols & continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records in asset management systems
- Promote a culture of safety, inclusion & continuous improvement within the team, ensuring all staff maintain required competencies & complete relevant training
- Provide timely & accurate reporting to the General Manager
The successful candidate will be required to: - Have full Australian working rights. International applicants are required to obtain their own visa with valid Australian work rights.
- Currently hold or be willing to obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check – Employee type
- Have an Australian drivers licence (Victorian licence preferred) including medium rigid endorsement
- Demonstrated experience in resort operations and maintenance, civil construction or a related field
- Previous experience in alpine areas preferrred
- Experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
- Valid Front End Loader (FEL) & Excavator tickets preferred

Hourly pay rate: $56.48 - $60.78 + super and other staff benefits
