Are you someone who naturally takes ownership, brings people together and loves making a business truly thrive? If you're the kind of person who thrives when things are busy, finds satisfaction in a well-run system, and genuinely cares about people's health and wellbeing, this role was written for you!
Our client, Funnell Family Chiropractic, has been part of the Rotorua community since 1986. They are one of the most established and respected chiropractic practices in the Bay of Plenty, with a team of five associate Chiropractors, three reception staff and two director Chiropractors. They are a busy, purpose-driven business with a real family feel, and they're looking for an Office and Business Development Manager who can help take them to the next level.
About the role
This is the right-hand role to the Practice Directors. You'll keep the practice running at its best, working closely with the Directors while being confident and capable on your own.
Day to day, you will:
- Lead, support and develop reception staff
- Coordinate with Chiropractors to keep the operations running smoothly
- Oversee accounts and administration
- Take ownership of marketing and business development, including social media, patient communications and community outreach
- Grow patient base, and find new ways to build the businesses profile and reach
- Provide some PA support and collaborate with the Directors
This isn't a role where you will sit quietly in the background. You will be visible, engaged and genuinely invested in what the team at Funnell Family Chiropractic are building.
This role is offered at a minimum of 50 hours per fortnight (possibly more hours for the right person), typically across five days per week. Flexibility is important as there will occasionally be a need to cover reception shifts or adjust your hours. Our client appreciates a team player who understands that running a busy health business means everyone rolls up their sleeves when it's needed.
About you
Our client wants someone who knows how to grow a business, not just keep it ticking over.
You will have:
- Management or team leadership experience, and confidence taking responsibility for a team
- A strong administration background with real attention to detail
- Experience in marketing, communications or business development
- Excellent organisational skills
- Payroll and accounts experience (desirable)
- Calm under pressure
- Trustworthy with confidential information and can lead by example
An interest in natural health and a real appreciation for what chiropractic care does for people will help you fit right in from day one.
