PeopleHQ is proud to be partnering with AZero Architecture to recruit an experienced Architectural Drafting Technician.

About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced Architects, contributing to a wide variety of projects from bespoke residential builds through to commercial and industrial developments.
You will be responsible for producing accurate, detailed documentation while supporting project delivery and maintaining strong client engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings across residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Produce layouts, schematics, and documentation for consent lodgement
- Assist with project coordination and tracking
- Work from redlines and collaborate with designers using ArchiCAD (or similar software)
- Undertake site visits to gather measurements and project information
- Support costings and documentation under the guidance of senior team members
- Liaise with clients, councils, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Assist with revisions, alterations, and ongoing project updates
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 3+ years’ architectural drafting experience
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD or similar drafting software
- Strong knowledge of NZ Building Code and construction practices
- Experience working across residential and/or commercial projects
- Excellent technical drawing and visualisation skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills
- A proactive, detail-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously
- A good sense of humour
