Our client, Stitch n Print Rotorua is a locally owned, full-service apparel and branding business specialising in customised design and production of apparel for customers across the country for their own merchandise. As a one-stop shop, they support businesses, schools, sports teams, and community groups with high-quality solutions, offering services such as screen printing, embroidery, heat pressing, and graphic design. Known for their hands-on approach and strong community connections, Stitch n Print prides itself on quality craftsmanship, flexibility, and working closely with clients to bring ideas to life.
We are looking for a reliable and motivated General Production Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on role working across multiple areas of production, supporting the delivery of high-quality branded apparel and products.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Assist with screen printing, including preparation, setup, and quality checking
- Operate heat press equipment, including weeding and transfer application
- Support embroidery production, including machine operation and job setup
- Carry out general production and workshop support duties
- Check and receipt incoming goods
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace
- Provide excellent customer service when required
To be successful you must have:
- A good level of fitness, this is a busy and physical role
- Previous experience in screen printing and embroidery is beneficial, but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Computer skills
- Comfortable working in a practical, on-your-feet environment
