Servicing agricultural, rural and industrial customers across the North Island, they provide reliable bulk cartage, and operate a modern, well-maintained fleet. We are seeking an experienced Transport Dispatcher to manage the day-to-day coordination of drivers and fleet operations.
 
This is a hands-on operational role responsible for planning and dispatching daily transport work, monitoring fleet activity in real time, and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with customer requirements. Working closely with drivers, customers and the in-house workshop, you will play a critical role in maintaining fleet utilisation, regulatory compliance and service standards.
 
What you'll do:

• Plan and dispatch daily transport jobs to keep the fleet operating efficiently
• Monitor drivers in real time and manage changes or issues as they arise
• Coordinate with the workshop to ensure vehicles are compliant and ready for work
• Communicate with customers regarding bookings and ETAs
• Maximise fleet utilisation by proactively securing and scheduling work
• Maintain compliance and accurate job records using dispatch systems

Ideally, we are after someone with:

• Experience in transport dispatch or logistics coordination
• Strong understanding of NZ transport compliance and work time rules
• Ability to prioritise and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Confident and professional communicator
• Experience using dispatch systems and GPS tracking software
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Transport industry compliance and/or safety-related training
