Rotorua, reception and operations administrative support 20-25 hours per week
PeopleHQ is proud to be partnering with BOP Plumbing & Gas to recruit an Operations Support & Receptionist for their Rotorua branch.
This is a pivotal front-of-house and operational support role within a busy, well-established plumbing and gas business. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers while also providing essential day-to-day support to the operations team, working closely with the Senior Operations Co-ordinator to ensure smooth scheduling, workflow, and communication.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reception & Customer Service
• Act as the first point of contact for customers in person and over the phone
• Provide a friendly, professional front-of-house experience
• Process customer payments (EFTPOS, phone payments and online follow-ups)
• Receive job requests via phone, email, LANA and walk-ins, and accurately load them into SimPRO
• Maintain a tidy, welcoming reception and showroom area
Operations Support
• Support the Senior Operations Co-ordinator with scheduling, job entry and workflow management
• Liaise with trades staff, suppliers and office team members
• Complete weekly Health & Safety workshop checks, including documentation and reporting
• Manage inwards goods, deliveries and stock locations
• Maintain general office organisation
Procurement & General Administration
• Order stationery, office supplies and consumables
• Monitor and restock commonly used items
• Assist with filing, data entry and administration
• Contribute positively to team culture and efficiency
ABOUT YOU
Essential
• Strong customer service and reception experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Confident with computers and learning new systems
• Able to juggle multiple priorities calmly
• Proactive and solutions-focused
Preferred
• Experience in a trades, service or construction environment
• Familiarity with SimPRO or similar systems
