Our client, Rotorua Eye Clinic and Central Day Stay Theatre are established ophthalmic services delivering high-quality eye care to both public and private patients. We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager, preferably with a health background to provide strong operational leadership across the clinic and theatre services.
This is a key leadership role working closely with the Business Manager and clinical leaders to ensure safe, effective service delivery while maintaining compliance and managing patient throughput.
Key Responsibilities: - Day-to-day operational management of clinic and theatre services
- Supporting clinical governance, quality improvement, and accreditation
- Staff coordination including recruitment support, rostering, and monitoring
- Operational workflow planning and problem-solving
- Health, safety, risk management, and legislative compliance
- Supporting payroll, accounts payable, and administrative processes
- Participation in Quality Improvement and IPC Committees
About You: - Minimum 2 years’ experience in staff or operational management
- Experience working in a healthcare or complex service environment
- Strong understanding of confidentiality, privacy, and health legislation
- Highly organised with excellent communication and documentation skills
- Confident using IT systems and databases
- Calm, practical, and solutions-focused under pressure
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice
