This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-known and progressive South Island contracting company with interesting projects throughout the Nelson/Tasman Regions. Gain further experience and personal development working with a progressive company in a supportive environment.

As a Distribution Line Mechanic, you will complete distribution line work in accordance with Industry Best Practice, legislation and company procedures.  The role involves constructing, maintaining, upgrading, and repairing:

• Ground and structure mounted electrical equipment.
• Non load bearing pole hardware.
• Pole structures and overhead conductors.

What you need to succeed:

• Full Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB) Registration and current Practicing License.
• Full Class 1 New Zealand driver’s license.
• 3+ years' experience.
• Experience with overhead distribution assets.
• Experience working high voltage electric lines.

About the role:

• This is a full-time, permanent role working a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Overtime is paid after 40 hours at a rate of time and a half.
• The wage range for this role is $34.99-$36.77/hour (gross) - commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• This role is primarily based in Motueka within the Nelson/Tasman Regions in the South Island of New Zealand.
