About the role:
Delta Utility Services is seeking an experienced and reliable Skilled Greenspace Team Member to join our Greenspace team. This role is responsible for maintaining sports grounds and recreational areas to a high standard, ensuring they are safe, presentable, and ready for community use.

You will primarily operate ride-on mowing equipment and assist with the maintenance of sports fields. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in delivering quality results.


Key Responsibilities:

• Operate ride-on mowers and other turf maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain sports fields, parks, and recreational areas to agreed standards.
• Complete mowing, line trimming, edging, and general grounds maintenance tasks.
• Conduct pre-start checks and basic servicing of equipment.
• Identify and report maintenance requirements and turf issues.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety procedures.

 About you:

The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes

• Minimum 2 years' experience operating ride-on mowing equipment, preferably in sportsfield, turf, parks, or greenspace maintenance.
• Good knowledge of sportsfield maintenance practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, including the ability to carry out daily equipment inspections, basic maintenance, fault identification, and minor repairs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Full New Zealand driver's licence.
• Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
