Delta is your smart thinking infrastructure specialist. We construct, manage and maintain essential energy and environmental infrastructure. Every day we make a difference in the lives of New Zealanders. We make communities better for people to live, work and play in - keeping the lights on, the trees trimmed and the parks green.
If you’re an experienced storesperson who takes pride in running an efficient, well-organised store, this is your opportunity to step into a role where your skills genuinely matter.
At Delta, our stores are the backbone of our field operations. In this role, you won’t just be moving stock — you’ll be supporting crews, keeping projects moving, and ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be trusted to help maintain a high-performing, well-run store. Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing inwards goods – receipting, checking, and accurately processing stock
- Storage and inventory control – ensuring everything is correctly classified, located, and accounted for
- Picking and dispatching materials to support operational crews
- Supporting stock takes and cycle counts to maintain accuracy
- Working closely with field teams to ensure timely supply of critical items
- Using stock management systems to track and manage inventory
This is a role where attention to detail, ownership, and initiative are highly valued.
What we’re looking for:
We’re keen to hear from people who bring solid stores, warehousing or related industry experience and understand what a well-run store looks like.
You’ll ideally have:
- Proven experience in stores/warehouse operations (inwards, outwards, stock control)
- Strong inventory accuracy mindset and attention to detail
- Confidence working with stock systems and computers
- The ability to prioritise, stay organised, and meet deadlines
- A proactive, “see it, sort it” attitude
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Forklift experience (F endorsement & OSH essential)
- A commitment to health and safety
- Able to work comfortably within a small, close-knit team
✔ Experience supporting trades, contractors, or project-based teams would be a big advantage.
Why choose Delta Stores? We know that experienced people look for more than just a job. Here’s what you’ll get:
