As a Faultsperson, you’ll respond to network faults, carry out switching operations, and deliver essential services that keep the power flowing across Dunedin. You’ll join a supportive 24/7 rostered team that prides itself on safety, teamwork and getting the job done right.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in the field, communicates confidently, and can work both independently and as part of a high‑performing team. You’ll bring strong technical ability, a keen eye for safety, and the resilience to handle fast‑moving fault response work.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Electrical Registration and Practising Licence as an Electrician, Line Mechanic or Cable Jointer
- Distribution Fault Response & Switching Level 4
- Class 1 and 2 driver licences
- Experience in distribution equipment operation and maintenance
- Knowledge of industry safety practices and current Electricity Regulations and Codes of Practice
- Experience working with network system procedures
- Live line competency (desirable)
- Strong communication, organisation and computer skills
- Physically capable with proven ability to follow instructions and work safely
