Delta is looking for a reliable and skilled Civil Machinery Operator to join our Civils Team in Dunedin. In this role, you’ll operate mobile plant and machinery, complete manual labouring tasks, and help deliver high-quality outcomes for our clients. You’ll work closely with your Civil Team Leader and the wider team to ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to Delta’s high standards. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, a proactive approach, and pride in your work make all the difference.
We’re seeking someone with a strong work ethic, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You’ll have excellent communication skills, the ability to follow instructions accurately, and a commitment to safety at all times. If you enjoy a varied, active role where no two days are the same, and take pride in maintaining vehicles, machinery, and work sites to a high standard, you’ll thrive in this position.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:
- Full Class 1 & 2 driver’s licenses with W and T R endorsements
- Physically capable of performing labouring tasks (e.g., digging, moving materials)
- Experience operating plant and machinery safely and legally
- Strong team player with effective verbal communication skills
- Flexible, reliable, and demonstrates initiative
- Desirable: Class 3, 4, 5 licenses and F endorsement
