Delta is your smart thinking infrastructure specialist. We construct, manage and maintain essential energy and environmental infrastructure. Every day we make a difference in the lives of New Zealanders. We make communities better for people to live, work and play in - keeping the lights on, the trees trimmed and the parks green.
We have exciting opportunities for a Trainee Cable Jointer to join our highly experienced teams working in and around Central Otago. If you’ve considered pursuing a career within the Electrical Distribution Industry, we urge you to apply for this vacancy because we’d enjoy the opportunity to invite you to come and talk to us about what your future could look like working for us. If you have a great attitude, a love of the outdoors, are comfortable with heights and are keen and able to learn the skills required to construct and maintain the energy networks we work on, then our Trainee Cable Jointer role might just be the role you’ve been looking for!
As a Trainee Cable Jointer, you will embark on a career path in an organisation and greater industry that provides personal and professional development opportunities - and where you are recognised and rewarded for thriving in your role.
Trainees will undertake a Training Programme that involves a mixture of on-the-job training and theoretical ‘block’ courses for 3-4 years. You will work your way to becoming registered with the Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB – look them up by copying this link into your browser: https://www.ewrb.govt.nz/). Your role will involve the construction and maintenance of distribution power systems and associated ancillary equipment.
