The role:

We are looking for a highly motivated Stores Supervisor to run our Central Otago Stores operations.  This position has oversight of all material movements within the region and is based at our Alexandra site. You will lead a cohesive team to maintain a dedicated Store and satellite yards that hold the required stock essential for the efficient delivery of our business. You will be proactive in managing quality and process improvement to create an environment of continuous improvement within your team.  All products are maintained within our stock management system, so your level of computer literacy and understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and MS Office is essential. 

About you:

• Confident in organising and prioritising yours and your team members workload.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and predefined targets.
• Ability to work with cross functional internal teams.
• A strong relationship builder with suppliers and external customers.
• Strong analytical capability and a proactive problem solver.
• Experience in end-to-end Stores functions including Stock Replenishment, Order Management, Inwards Receipting, Picking, Packing and Dispatch.
• Excels at prioritisation and delegation of workload to staff that ensures DIFOT.

What you need to succeed:

• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills, including working well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire for continuous improvement.
• Commitment to health and safety policy and procedure.
• Great customer service skills and an ability to learn about the products you are working with.
• Be a person who is self-motivated and proactive.

 
*A forklift licence would be advantageous – although training can be offered. This role requires some manual handling and heavy lifting.
