PPS Consulting is pleased to partner with our valued client—an established leader in the mining and metals sector—to appoint an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager for their major processing operation based in coastal Victoria.

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and shape the EHS function at a large-scale facility, overseeing both strategic direction and day-to-day operational performance.

If successful, you will play a critical leadership role in driving a strong safety culture and environmental performance across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on all EHS matters
• Providing expert guidance to site management on emerging EHS risks and issues
• Supporting the operation in identifying environmental requirements, managing risk, and achieving sustainability objectives
• Leading and developing the EHS team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver against performance standards and business goals
• Partnering closely with plant leadership to implement strategies that optimise EHS outcomes across the operation

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will be accountable for EHS budgets, resources, and service delivery, while fostering strong, collaborative relationships across the site.

We are keen to hear from candidates who bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety and/or Environmental disciplines
• Significant experience within industrial environments such as mining, resources, or manufacturing
• Proven leadership in EHS, with the ability to influence and drive positive outcomes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for mentoring and coaching teams
• The ability to build relationships and engage effectively across all levels of the organisation
