PPS Consulting are very pleased to partner with our valued client, Alpha HPA, to source a Project Engineer for their Stage Two Project, based in their Project Office in Spring Hill.
The Alpha HPA First Project Stage Two is an integral part of the company’s vision to successfully commercialise the ultra-high purity aluminium product range that will support the global decarbonisation transition.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our Project Execution Team, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.
This role is ideally suited to a design engineer looking to transition into a broader project management pathway while remaining closely connected to technical delivery.
About the Role
In this position, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery through engineering data interpretation, scope control, and change management activities.
You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project scope, quantities and deliverables are accurately monitored and managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret multi-discipline engineering data from the design environment to assist the project team with quantity tracking and scope surveillance.
- Support the project team by transferring engineering data from the engineering team to fabrication and construction teams.
- Support the Engineering Manager with scope change management and contractor management.
- Prepare, define and implement project changes under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, including: Defining Scope, Cost Estimating and Execution Planning.
About You
We are looking for an engineer who is technically capable, commercially aware and keen to develop their career in project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have: - A degree in Engineering with approximately 5–8 years’ professional experience
- Experience working on a large-scale greenfield project, preferably within an engineering design team or with exposure to BIM or design environment data manipulation within a project setting.
- Demonstrated experience in change management on major projects, ideally including: Scope control, Quantification of change and Engineering quantities, cost and schedule impacts.
About Alpha HPA Alpha HPA Production Facility is the application of the company’s licensed Smart SX technology to produce a range of high purity aluminium products, most notably their Ultra High Purity Alumina, Ultra High Purity Precursors and Ultra Boehmite.
These products will provide the raw materials used by leading decarbonisation growth industries including LED lighting and lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.
