Pacific People Solutions are very pleased to be working with our client to source a Project Geologist to provide geological support across their exploration programs in North Queensland. 

This fantastic opportunity will see you report to the Chief Geologist and will offer you a broad career path from exploration to resource estimation. 

We would be really pleased to recieve your application should you possess a passion for geology with a discovery driven focus coupled with the following skills &/or experience:

* B Science with Geology Major (Hons preferred)
* Current manual driver's license
* 2+ years experience working as a geologist including core logging experience
* Experience with epithermal systems & volcanic sequences (preferred but not mandatory)
* Good rock & mineral identification skills
* General knowledge of epithermal systems, in particular alteration facies & zonation
* Demonstrated ability to compile geological maps & cross sections

Are you up to the challenge?
This role will require you to  to work in small teams in remote areas & you will need to have the ability to operate a 4WD vehicle safely & competently in difficult terrain.

Note, this role does require a high level of physical fitness and will involve remote area work crossing uneven & topographically challenging ground on foot.

This role will be predominantly site based with some opportunity to work in either the Brisbane or Townsville office.
