Pacific People Solutions are very pleased to partner with our valued client, Alpha HPA, to source a Project Procurement Officer for their Stage Two Project, based in their Project Office in Spring Hill.

The Alpha HPA First Project Stage Two is an integral part of the company’s vision to successfully commercialise the ultra-high purity aluminium product range that will support the global decarbonisation transition.

This critical appointment will ensure the efficient and cost-effective procurement of goods, services and works required for the project in Gladstone. 
 
We are seeking candidates with at least 5 years procurement experience to manage the end-to-end procurement process, whilst contributing to the project’s success and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.

This is a brand-new position for this fast-growing project team and will require you to work closely with the Procurement Manager and other key members of the Project team.  The Project Procurement Officer will directly report to the Procurement Manager and will be based in their Project Office in Spring Hill.

• Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field (preferred) coupled with a Professional certification in Procurement (CIPS)
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in project procurement, preferably within a mining or process plant project environment
• Experience in managing the end-to-end procurement process from planning to contract close out
• Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices and relevant legislation
• Success in sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract management
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve vendor-related issues.
• Highly organized, resourceful, and dependable
• Skilled in negotiation and maintaining positive supplier relationships
• Experience with relevant software, such as ERP systems, spreadsheets, and databases.

About Alpha HPA 
Alpha HPA Production Facility is the application of the company’s licensed Smart SX technology to produce a range of high purity aluminium products, most notably their Ultra High Purity Alumina, Ultra High Purity Precursors and Ultra Boehmite. 
These products will provide the raw materials used by leading decarbonisation growth industries including LED lighting and lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.
