Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Account/Client Executive to join their Corporate & Commercial team, managing and developing an established portfolio generating c.£350,000 annual income. The role is supported by dedicated Client Handlers and Claims Handlers and offers exposure to a broad mix of SME and mid‑market clients across sectors including manufacturing, motor trade, technology, distribution, logistics, professional services and wider commercial industries.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an established portfolio of corporate and commercial clients.
• Build strong, long‑term client relationships and act as a trusted adviser.
• Deliver high levels of client retention through proactive account management.
• Identify and drive organic growth opportunities including cross‑sell, upsell and fee development.
• Work collaboratively with Client Handlers and Claims Handlers to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Lead renewal discussions and negotiate terms with insurers where appropriate.
• Conduct regular client review meetings and identify evolving client needs.
• Generate new business opportunities and support wider team growth objectives.
• Contribute to referral activity and relationship‑led business development initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as an Account Executive/Client Executive within commercial insurance.
• Strong relationship management and client‑facing capability.
• Demonstrable track record of retaining and growing a client portfolio.
• Commercially minded with the ability to identify opportunities across multiple insurance classes.
• Comfortable working with a wide variety of industries and client sizes.
• Self‑motivated, professional and committed to delivering outstanding client service.
