A growing insurance company is seeking an experienced Motor Claims Handler to join its expanding Claims function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys taking ownership of their caseload, and is confident in negotiating optimal outcomes. 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with engineers and claims investigators to support timely and accurate claim resolution.
• Manage interactions with solicitors and accident management companies in a confident, assertive manner to minimise exposure to injury and credit hire claims.
• Work closely with brokers to deliver a high standard of service to policyholders.
• Instruct hire vehicle providers and consulting engineers when required.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls with policyholders and third parties to progress claims efficiently and reduce unnecessary costs.
• Contact policyholders upon receipt of new claims to gather any additional information needed for liability decisions.
• Proactively "capture" claimants to facilitate hire, loss of use, or personal injury settlements where appropriate.
• Manage a personal caseload using a structured chase/diary system to ensure swift and cost‑effective closure.
• Utilise external agents effectively to support optimum settlement outcomes.
• Maintain accurate reserves and recordable information in line with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and escalate complaints in accordance with company procedures.
