Key Responsibilities

• Manage inbound sales calls and customer/member enquiries.
• Produce and issue quotations, new business documentation and renewal packs.
• Support customers in understanding and protecting their material assets and liabilities.
• Follow up warm leads, convert opportunities, and conduct outbound sales activity where required.
• Work effectively within a sales team, contributing to discussions around process improvement and positive change.
• Achieve agreed sales and retention targets, both individually and as part of the wider team.
• Maintain and grow income from existing customers through proactive relationship management.
• Build and sustain professional relationships with insurers and underwriters.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer service standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain a strong understanding of all products and services to provide accurate guidance.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Competent in selling SME general insurance.
• CII qualification (or willingness to complete).
• Experience in a branch or broker-based sales role.
• Strong understanding of the UK insurance market and its dynamics.
• Familiarity with e‑trading platforms; Acturis experience advantageous but not essential.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver clear, actionable advice.
• Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to high service standards.

Industry Background
Candidates should have:

• Experience selling SME general insurance or relevant commercial lines.
• Exposure to broker or branch-based environments.
• Understanding of insurer relationships, underwriting processes and digital trading platforms.
• Demonstrable success in meeting and exceeding sales and retention goals.

All applicants must have UK work experience and previous, relevant insurance experience.
