Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow a portfolio of commercial clients with a strong property bias, including Commercial Property, Property Owners, Commercial Combined, and SME package risks.
Lead the full renewal cycle: gathering underwriting information, preparing market presentations, remarketing, negotiating terms, and delivering recommendations.
Identify and convert new business opportunities through referrals, networking, and proactive outreach.
Provide technical advice to clients, ensuring cover is appropriate, compliant, and competitively placed.
Maintain strong insurer relationships to secure favourable terms and support complex placements.
Handle MTAs, endorsements, and policy adjustments accurately and promptly.
Conduct client meetings to review cover, discuss risk exposures, and strengthen relationships.
Maintain FCA-compliant documentation and uphold the company's service standards.
Spot cross‑selling and upselling opportunities.
Experience & Skills
Strong commercial broking experience with exposure to Property Owners and Commercial Combined risks.
Confident negotiating with underwriters and advising clients at SME and mid‑market level.
Ability to manage a portfolio, drive retention, and generate new business.
Excellent communication, accuracy, and relationship‑building skills.
Cert CII (or working towards) preferred.
Comfortable working freely while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
