Technical Manager (Rubber / Woven materials)
Location : Yorkshire
Permanent position

Our client develop and manufacture a range of rubber / woven material based products. They are actively looking to recruit a Technical Manager
Duties for this position will include :

• Leading product development, process improvement, and technical activities within design, development and manufacturing teams
• Managing Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Initiating and leading development and improvement projects
• Coordinating production support team, to balance, short, medium and long term projects
• Delivering installation training and technical guidance to teams and customers alike
• Making key technical decisions at key milestones
• Maintaining Quality at the forefront of all activities
• Understanding supply chain and suggesting alternative materials if needed
• Post sales technical support
• Using SolidWorks to support products and equipment upgrades
• Conducting product testing and developing new test equipment where required.
• Applying technical knowledge to CAPEX projects

Applications are invited from candidates with a BSc / MSc / PhD in Materials Science (or related subject) together with previous suitable technical leadership experience supporting design to manufacture of rubber / woven material based products

Note : Candidates will need own transport for site commute

This is a permanent position offering an attractive salary (depending on skills and experience)
