About the Role
We are seeking a Permanent Part-Time Support Worker to join our team in Burpengary, QLD, supporting a person with high and complex support needs.
This role will suit someone who:
- Understands the importance of choice, control and independence
- Is confident supporting someone who is strong-willed and highly independent
- Can maintain clear and respectful professional boundaries
- Is calm, patient and consistent when supporting complex behaviours
- Can confidently follow support plans, strategies and instructions
- Communicates well with the wider support team
- Understands the importance of accurate documentation and incident reporting
- Can balance providing appropriate support while allowing the person to maintain their independence and dignity

About You & The Role We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced supporting people with high and complex support needs, complex behaviours and Intellectual Disability – essential
- Confident maintaining clear, respectful professional boundaries
- Calm, consistent and able to follow support plans, strategies and instructions
- Committed to promoting choice, dignity and independence
- Confident providing personal care, daily living and community support
- Able to recognise and respond appropriately to changes in behaviour or presentation
- Comfortable with incident reporting, documentation and escalating concerns
- A strong communicator who understands the importance of consistency and teamwork
- Able to build a positive relationship while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
You’ll play an important role in supporting the person to live as independently as possible, while providing safe, respectful and consistent support in line with their individual needs and UDC requirements.
What You Need To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card) - (Mandatory)
- A current First Aid (Mandatory) & CPR Certificate
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Previous experience supporting people with complex behaviours and Intellectual Disability
- A genuine passion for supporting people to live with choice, dignity and independence
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- The ability to follow support plans and instructions
- The confidence to establish and maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- A warm, calm, fun and engaging approach to support
- Can gain or have access to a Laptop or Desk top computer for our Online Induction and Training program.
