Security Officers | Townsville Shopping Centre

We are currently seeking Retail Security Officers to join our team on a casual or part-time basis. 

As a Security Officer at Townsville Shopping Centre, you’ll support the largest retail centre in the relaxed coastal city of Townsville. You’ll play an active role in maintaining safety and ensuring smooth daily operations by assisting customers, responding to incidents and working alongside centre management.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality customer service and front-line support
• Identifying and resolving potential risks and issues proactively
• Responding to all medical and security incidents
• Accurately reporting and recording incidents during your shift
• Responding to emergencies in line with site protocols
• Building professional relationships with emergency services
• Using conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques effectively

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A current QLD Security License with valid Crowd Control function
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificates
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A customer-first attitude with strong interpersonal skills
• Flexibility to work within a rotating 24/7 roster
• High personal integrity and grooming standards
• Previous experience in regulated environments (desirable)
