We're supporting a leading name in the sports sector as they look to bring in an experienced Credit Controller on a permanent basis due to internal movement. This premium sportswear brand is a global leader in high-performance products and apparel, renowned for its innovative designs and commitment to excellence. Responsibilities - Credit Controller

• Manage aged debt proactively, securing payments through regular customer contact by phone, email, and letter
• Proven track record in credit control and collections within a multi-currency, multi-region environment
• Negotiate payment plans, resolve invoice disputes, and escalate overdue accounts where necessary
• Assess and review credit limits for new and existing customers, applying company policies consistently
• Monitor customer payment performance, balancing commercial opportunities with credit risk
• Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring prompt query resolution and accurate account reconciliations
• Prepare and present regular debtor reports, DSO analysis, and cash collection forecasts
• Calculate bad debt provisions and provide inputs for cash flow forecasting and board reporting
• Support ERP system developments and drive process improvements for credit management efficiency
• Proven track record in credit control and collections within a multi-currency, multi-region environment
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insight
• Experience with ERP systems and a focus on continuous process improvement

 
Key Skills & Experience - Credit Controller

• 3-5 years' experience in credit control, ideally within retail/wholesale environment
• Proven track record managing large accounts and complex credit situations
• Experience working in a multi-currency environment essential
• Strong IT literacy with excellent MS Office skills and experience working with ERP systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with and influence people at all levels both internally and externally
• Experience working in a multicurrency environment
• Experience within retail/ecommerce desirable
• Reliable, self-disciplined, speed, and accuracy are essential.
