The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Manager to lead and develop our human resources function. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving people strategy, supporting business growth, strengthening our culture, and ensuring best-practice HR processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities People & Culture

• Champion and enhance our positive company culture and employee engagement initiatives.
• Lead employee wellbeing, recognition, and retention programs.
• Organise and support company social events, team-building activities, and culture initiatives.
• Partner with leaders to create a high-performance, collaborative workplace.

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

• Manage end-to-end recruitment across construction, architecture, administration, and leadership roles.
• Develop effective sourcing and attraction strategies to secure top talent.
• Coordinate onboarding programs to ensure a positive employee experience.

Employee Relations

• Provide advice and support to managers on performance management, employee relations, and workplace matters.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and support positive workplace outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, awards, and company policies.

Learning & Development

• Identify training needs and implement professional development initiatives.
• Support leadership development and succession planning.
• Coordinate mandatory industry training and compliance requirements.

HR Operations

• Maintain and improve HR policies, procedures, and systems.
• Manage employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
• Oversee remuneration reviews and benefits programs.
• Prepare HR reports, metrics, and workforce planning insights. 

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with Fair Work legislation and workplace regulations.
• Support workplace health and safety initiatives in collaboration with operational teams.
• Manage HR-related risk and governance requirements.

About You Essential

• 3+ years' experience in a Human Resources Manager or HR Business Partner role.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience managing recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and build trusted relationships at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Desirable

• Experience within construction, architecture, engineering, professional services, or project-based environments.
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
• Experience implementing HR systems, employment hero and process improvements.
