About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists to join a fast-growing business operating in the advanced battery storage and energy optimisation space.
This organisation partners with installers, wholesalers, and developers to deliver high-performance energy solutions across residential, commercial, and grid-scale projects.

They are now seeking a Business Development Manager to establish and grow their presence across Western Australia.

This is a true greenfield role, ideal for someone who thrives on building markets, creating partnerships, and driving commercial outcomes in the energy, solar, or electrical sectors.

The Role
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you’ll take ownership of the WA market and drive growth across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities include:
Market Development & Sales

• Develop and execute the WA growth strategy
• Identify and win new business across installers, wholesalers, developers, and commercial clients
• Drive sales across residential, commercial, and grid-scale battery solutions

Channel & Partner Development

• Build and grow an installer network (Preferred Installer Program)
• Establish strong relationships with wholesalers and distribution partners
• Deliver product training and ongoing partner support

Commercial & Project Sales

• Identify and develop commercial battery opportunities
• Build ROI-driven business cases and proposals
• Work closely with internal teams to structure and close deals

Brand & Market Presence

• Represent the business at industry events and partner meetings
• Build brand awareness across WA
• Provide market insights and feedback to leadership

About You
You’re a commercially driven BDM who enjoys building something from the ground up.

Your background will include:

• 5+ years’ experience in solar, batteries, energy, or electrical industries
• Strong WA network and understanding of the local market
• Proven success in B2B sales and relationship management

You’ll also bring:

• Strong commercial acumen and closing ability
• Confidence presenting technical or solution-based products
• A self-starter mindset with high ownership

Highly regarded:

• Battery storage experience
• Knowledge of tariffs and energy markets
• Existing relationships across installers, wholesalers, or developers
