Accounts Receivable & Invoicing Officer – Sunshine Coast

Our client is a well-established construction company with a strong reputation across the Sunshine Coast. They’re proud of their high-quality projects and equally proud of the down-to-earth team that delivers them. Due to ongoing growth, they are now seeking an Accounts Receivable & Invoicing Officer to join their finance function.

The Role In this role, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day receivables and invoicing activities, working closely with both the finance team and site staff. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and issuing invoices
• Reconciling accounts and managing payment allocations
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to gather required documentation
• Following up on outstanding payments and resolving discrepancies
• Assisting with QBCC insurance requirements and other administrative tasks
• Supporting process improvements and helping streamline systems

About You We’re looking for someone with strong organisational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and a positive, solutions-focused approach. To be successful, you’ll bring:

• At least 2 years’ experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, or a similar finance role
• Solid understanding of both receivables and payables
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Exposure to Xero or construction-related systems would be highly regarded (but training provided)
• The ability to work well independently while being a strong team contributor
• Reliability, initiative, and a friendly approach to communication
