The Opportunity

As an Assistant Manager, you'll work closely with Partners and Managers to oversee client engagements, review work, and guide junior staff. This is an excellent stepping stone into a future Manager role, with genuine progression opportunities and ongoing professional development.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, FBT, and CGT calculations for a range of SME clients
• Assist in managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring quality service and timely delivery
• Provide business advisory support including budgeting, cash flow, and structuring advice
• Mentor and review work of junior and intermediate accountants
• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate technical matters clearly
• Identify opportunities to improve internal systems and client outcomes

About You

• CA/CPA qualified (or near completion)
• Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in a public practice accounting firm
• Confident reviewing compliance work and providing advisory input
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards
• Comfortable managing staff, client communication, and deadlines
• Experience with Xero, MYOB, APS, or similar software (advantageous)
