Turks are currently seeking a junior Legal Assistant, or Law Clerk who is available to work 4 days per week, to join our General Insurance practice group in Sydney.

Responsibilities

You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• preparation and drafting of court documents/correspondence;
• diary management;
• brief preparation;
• monthly billing;
• opening/closing files;
• executive/ personal assistant duties as required;
• assisting lawyers as necessary; and
• general secretarial and administrative tasks.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will have:

• Recent experience as a receptionist/legal assistant/secretary/admin assistant;
• Have at least 2 years remaining of your studies if you are currently undertaking an LLB/JD qualification;
• data entry experience desirable;
• exceptional organisational skills; and 
• a meticulous eye for detail and accurate proof reading skills.

In addition, you will:

• have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
• ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively to work within tight time frames;
• enthusiastic, committed and proactive approach to work;
• a commitment to a career in legal support; and
• ability to work autonomously and within a team.
