You will have the freedom to provide the right technology vision, strategy and roadmap to enable the organisation’s ongoing improvement in technology lead operational efficiency, whilst working collaboratively with our CEO, Partners and Senior Managers.
Leading the IT team, you will provide leadership in digital initiatives by identifying and leveraging innovation technologies that can enable automation, while delivering effective decision making on operational priorities and risk mitigation strategies. Further, you will govern and guide technical solutions and architectural decisions, ensuring that appropriate planning, testing and business engagement occurs across both the IT and Systems functions.
Responsibilities
You will take ownership and responsibility over the IT function, including but not limited to:
- Define and evolve the technology strategy, including the cyber security governance framework, vision, operating model and roadmap, in alignment with the organisation’s business strategy.
- Manage the IT team to improve service delivery, whilst ensuring maintenance of all IT assets (including Infrastructure Lifecycle and software licences), documentation, change control and planning for all IT systems, infrastructure and projects.
- Identify and assess emerging technologies, leading innovation in order to achieve organisational strategy and objectives.
- Manage technology vendors for the software and hardware procured.
- Manage risk management actions, whilst liaising with the Risk & Compliance Manager, to ensure that internal and external systems are safe and secure.
- Monitor the external threat environment for emerging threats.
- Manage and contains any arising cybersecurity incidents to ensure the protection of firm assets, IP and regulated data through maintenance of incident response plans and procedures.
Requirements To be considered for this role, you will have:
- A relevant degree, including computer science or computer engineering;
- 10+ years of professional IT experience in a commercial business, preferably in a professional services environment;
- IT Operations experience and sound knowledge of ITIL foundations;
- In-depth experience with project management in IT environments;
- In-depth understanding and experience managing IP Networks and system integrations;
- Good knowledge of cyber risks and effective countermeasures;
- Experience with agile development; and
- Experience in Microsoft technologies including Azure Active Directory and Office365;
In addition, you will:
- Have excellent communication skills (oral and written);
- Attain the ability to articulate business requirements into functional design documents; and
- Have strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
