Turks are currently seeking a full-time Legal Assistant to join our General Insurance practice group in Melbourne.
Responsibilities
You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- preparation and drafting of court documents/correspondence;
- diary management;
- brief preparation;
- monthly billing;
- opening/closing files;
- executive/ personal assistant duties as required;
- assisting lawyers as necessary; and
- general secretarial and administrative tasks.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will have:
- 1+ years recent experience as a legal assistant/secretary/admin assistant;
- billing experience desirable;
- exceptional organisational skills; and
- a meticulous eye for detail and accurate proof reading skills.
In addition, you will:
- have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively to work within tight time frames;
- enthusiastic, committed and proactive approach to work;
- a commitment to a career in legal support; and
- ability to work autonomously and within a team.
