About the role
The Finance department is an integral part of the firm and its service company. The team manage all aspects of the financial running of the business in conjunction with the financial aspects of matter maintenance. They provide information and support to all levels of the firm.
Responsibilities
You will take responsibility and ownership over a range of tasks, including but not limited to;
- Lead responsibility for Trust Account transactions and compliance
- Manage daily processing and allocation of funds
- Resolve solicitor/legal support queries related to Trust matters
- Assist in the reconciliation of Trust Account
- Manage accounts receivable (Trust banking and receipting direct deposits)
- Assist with various Trust accounting and reporting requirements
- Posting of entries into practice management system (Aderant Expert)
- Provide support where needed re credit card reconciliations
- Assist other members of the team as required (accounts receivable and accounts payable)
- Dealing with a range of stakeholders with regards to finance queries, including banking, management reporting; and
- Supporting the Head of Finance with any projects as required.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you will have;
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Ability to meet reporting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail
Experience with Aderant Expert software and a background in a Professional Services environment is desirable.
