Accounts Assistant - Luxury Retail & Lifestyle Brand - Temp to Perm - Day Rate (Equivalent to £30,000 - £35,000) - 5 Days in the Office - Immediate Start - Central London
 
A premium luxury lifestyle and retail business is seeking a Accounts Assistant to join its finance team on a temp-to-perm basis.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior finance professional looking to develop their experience within a fast-paced, design-led retail environment.
 
The business operates across luxury retail, wellness and fashion, selling high-end consumer products via e-commerce channels and prestigious physical retail partnerships.
 
This role is ideal for someone who is immediately available, enjoys working in the office full-time, and is keen to build hands-on experience across transactional finance and month-end processes.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable: Assisting with raising sales invoices and maintaining accurate billing records
• Credit Control: Supporting aged debtor management and collections; assisting with invoice queries
• Accounts Payable: Processing supplier invoices, supporting payment runs and responding to supplier queries
• Banking & Cash: Assisting with bank postings and bank reconciliations, including multi-currency accounts
• Reconciliations: Supporting reconciliation of e-commerce sales to cash receipts
• Month-End Support: Assisting with journals, bookkeeping and month-end close activities across multiple entities
• Audit Support: Supporting year-end audit preparation
• VAT: Assisting with VAT return preparation
• Systems & Processes: Supporting finance system processes, including involvement in a SAP implementation
• Ad Hoc & Admin: Supporting the wider finance team with general administration and ad hoc tasks

Key Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant or junior accounting role
• Consumer or retail industry experience is required
• Exposure to transactional finance, bookkeeping and basic month-end processes
• Multi-currency experience is highly desirable
• Experience using Xero and/or SAP is advantageous
• Studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT / ACCA) is beneficial but not essential
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Organised, detail-focused and keen to learn
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, office-based environment (5 days per week)
• Immediately available or on short notice
