Accounts Assistant - Financial Services Group - Paying £30,000 + Benefits - London Office (Hybrid Role)

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant for a wealth management firm. The group has increased its assets under management from under £200 million to over £1 billion in just a few years. Due to their great growth, they are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team in a newly created role.
This is the perfect opportunity for a recent grad with a relevant internship or a candidate with a years accounts payable experience looking to develop their career in a fast moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and post supplier invoices into the accounting system
- Prepare and carry out weekly/monthly payment runs
- Liaise with managers for invoice approvals
- Resolve supplier queries and reconcile statements
- Generate customer invoices within the accounting system
- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely payments
- Support credit control processes when needed
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end closing processes
- Maintain accurate records and ensure ledgers are current
- Provide ad-hoc support to the wider finance team
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives
Key Requirements - Previous experience in a similar finance or ledger-based role
- Competency in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct, Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel is ideal but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA part qualification (or currently studying) is desirable but not essential
- Must have a recent degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
